Whew! well, first, "Don't throw that Bible shit at me." 😂😂😂 You crack me up! lol I wish you lived next door so we could have coffee all the time! To be serious now, it is cynicism of the highest order to do this while there is extra attention on the group of LGBTQ people in our country. And for what? A few bucks a year? How many kids' lives have been saved by that hotline? Well, the admin doesn't care to know that information.
Having worked as a therapist all my life, I encountered children and adults of all stripes. I tried to facilitate hospital treatment for a young biological girl who was living as a boy. There was no question in my mind that this was his real identity, and he felt a little support at school and a lot at home, fortunately. But that is often not the case. These kids live in isolation, mostly. So it's heartless to take away a potential lifeline. Fortunately for my client, a children's hospital took over treatment. (An engaging, but sad, book I found is "The 57 Bus," the actual story about a cross-town bus in San Francisco and violence against trans and gay kids. I believe the events happened in 2013. It follows the kids through their efforts to find support and community and services, navigating through a lot of hate, and danger, depending on what neighborhood their bus traversed.)
I'm sorry to hear about this important support being withdrawn. "Let's make America hard again" for the teens who are struggling. What motivates people to do this stuff? Fear. Fear of something they don't understand. Trump can't read. He has no real education. A wiser person would read some research and educate himself. This is the presidency of ignorance.
Thank you so much. I'm happy to have the info about your radio show as well. Your ideas resonate with me. I'll get the app and tune in! I'm older and retired--I can't really march in protests, but I support independent journalism. (And our city animal shelter, where the dogs are getting fewer grants now, and need humane help). I look forward to listening to your broadcast!
I am new to Substack and trying to follow your publication . My issue is I can answer/comment on your post but, I can’t see others that have responding to your post.

Yes, there should be!
I agree!
Thank you for commenting!
I totally agree!
How many years ago did you die?
I see you won’t even share a picture of yourself. You should be as lucky as I am.
WOW! What a creative out-down! Do you do stand-up?
Thank you
Testing for Substack
