You you are a fuckin idiot all you do is bash Trump every day so just like Ferguson bashes the democrats you're bashing the Republicans. It was a business decision to cancel the Late Show, losing 40 to 50 million dollars a year !!! And now you're a legal expert saying CBS would have won the lawsuit filed by and calling it a bribe. Stop being so obsessed with Trump and quit being a crybaby or maybe your show might be canceled if you don't bring in enough advertising dollars.

The real reason Colbert is out because CBS was losing 40million a year which is a FACT. Get it right Scoot. You are just stating your liberal leftist opinion. You can’t take that most Americans love President Trump. What CBS did was changed Kamala’s answers Fox just shorted Trumps answers. A very big difference. You are so wrong and that’s my opinion. Colbert’s ratings sucked big time. Do you think you sound big calling the President a SOB. It just shows how you have such TDS. So sad.

Colbert had the #1 viewership during that time slot, beating the other network late shows. What are they going to fill that time slot with now? An almost guaranteed revenue loser. Did CBS ask Colbert to renegotiate his contract? No they did not, which is normal for "financial decisions." And if they had, Colbert would have almost certainly agreed to renegotiation.

Colbert has been a vocal critic of Trump for at least a decade, thankfully so. The cancelling and lawsuit settlement were done to please Trump so Paramount can be greenlit to sell, imo. The FCC is holding up the sale of Paramount which they badly want. The FCC is made up of 3 members and the majority decides. Trump appointed 2 of the 3 members, including the chairman.

I expect after the $16 million bribe .... I mean settlement .... to Trump for 60 minutes "editing" and Colbert's cancelling, we will see the FCC greenlight the $8 billion Paramount deal with Skydance. How is that deal good for the people? It's not. How is Colbert's cancelling good for the people? It's not. This is how free speech in America gets dismantled.

Colbert's replacement won't buck the establishment, they'll just read their teleprompter or say what they're instructed to say, b/c theyve seen how an influential host lost their show for speaking truth and hurting Trump's fragile ego. It won't matter if a republican, democrat, or independent is in office if corporations are controlling the "truth" being told. Free press should be FREE with an obligation and commitment to facts.

lol! Happy to see you so upset and your TDS is showing. ☝️🀣 I never even heard of Ben Furgerson, Cable network? Steven Colbert is NOT funny, maybe to those like you who hate Trump. No Johnny Carson! His ratings suck like yours, is why he is being taking off the Air.

Trump would have won that lawsuit because 60 minutes did something Fox did not. They literally inserted an Kamala answer from a totally different question because her original answer was that dumb.

These universities, law firms, and media giants that are caving to Trumpism because it's cheaper to not fight back are costing Americans long-term and aiding the rise of US authoritarianism.

Appreciate your opinion and post, Scoot

Late night talk has been having declining ratings for a while however the late show was number one in it's category. I do think it's political and that if this was gutfeld they would be singing a different tune. This is not Russia/DPRK/Cuba where you have fully 100% state funded media that isn't allowed to criticize the government. MAGA is supporting highly controlled state media.

Why does Felix’s Restaurant not have live music and the Blue Crab Restaurant does? Like you Scoot, I don’t know all the details, but I know a bit more than what you are describing on the radio.

In that immediate area along Lakeshore Drive where both restaurants are located, a sound ordinance exists with a limit of 85 dB. The Blue Crab’s owner is a good neighbor to the residence that live just across the levee in the Lake Vista neighborhood. He has a sound meter at all times measuring the decibel levels when his bands are playing keeping them at or below the 85 dB limit, (the band pays the fine if a ticket is issued). Because the Blue Crab follows the rules, they continue to have great live music. Perhaps this is actually the reason why Felix’s doesn’t have live music. Their bands are too loud for the area. It’s not β€œpolitics at play.”

I enjoy listening to live cover bands and remember the heyday of West End with the Bounty, Augie’s , and Barts. But let’s not throw shade on the Blue Crab because they’re successful by following the rules and Felix’s struggling to find their way. There’s enough business for everyone.

Late Show being cancelled and Stephen Colbert being fired has more to do with money and less to do with politics. Late night talk shows are a dying format, and let’s be honest, Colbert is not the victim. He’s the murderer.

You know what I don’t want when I turn on the Late Show?

A fucking lecture from Adam Schiff. It’s really true when they say β€œWashington is Hollywood for ugly people.” More Sydney Sweeney cleavage and less Elizabeth Warren dog face. But it’s too late now.
