I’m serving up a triple helping of American excellence:
Elon Musk and Donald Trump are having a very public slap fight on the internet because apparently running companies and countries leaves plenty of time for social media beef.
Meanwhile, Trump has decided that Joe Biden was actually assassinated in 2020, which would be concerning if it weren't so obviously insane.
And today marks 81 years since thousands of young Americans stormed the beaches of Normandy to fight actual fascists and preserve democracy, which makes it extra special that we're now watching democracy get murdered by Twitter feuds and conspiracy theories cooked up by people who think QAnon posts count as investigative journalism.
Whether you're a longtime WWL Radio listener in New Orleans [click here to stream my show on WWL Radio New Orleans] or just stumbled across my take on politics and pop culture, here is where the real conversation happens. We're building a community of people who can handle both the serious and the absurd, who believe democracy works better when we're all paying attention and talking to each other like adults.
